Oh, neat.

"We have concluded that we are unable to approve your [life insurance] application for coverage. Our decision is based on your weight."

They didn't even bother to pull my medical records to see that I have insanely good health, they saw a ticky box and stamped it 'denied'.

This puts crimps in my house-purchase plans, since I have to seriously consider that if something does happen to me, my parents will be stuck with a fuckload of debt.

Mortgage insurance won't help here? Have you looked at that?

Ahhh gotcha. I didn't get mortgage insurance, so I didn't really know how much it was!

Ummm. It prob depends how saleable whatever you buy is?

Try another life insurance company and keep trying. Someone will cover you. Hell, they are covering me despite diabetes, mental health issues, fibro and my weight.

Yeah, but these were the guys through work so it was going to be $2 for every $100k.

So you pay a higher premium. It would be worth it, I think, for peace of mind.

Or do they have an appeals process?

Beh, we're having another surge in h1n1 stuff right now, all I am thinking about are masks and syringes.
